WHAT IS A TECHDISC? -TechDisc is a small, sensor puck permanently attached to a golf disc and calibrated during assembly. The sensors capture the disc's full motion data (including speed, spin, wobble, hyzer angle, nose angle, and launch angle) from start of the run-up through release. The sensor data is processed in the cloud to generate throw metrics and is received by your bluetooth capable device, showing the metrics and simulating the flight.

WHY PRACTICE WITH A TECHDISC INSTEAD OF MY OWN FAVORITE DISCS? - Throwing your own discs in a field is a great way to see how they fly. But, you can’t tell why the disc flew the way it did, and if you’re actually making any improvement in trying to change things about your grip or form. TechDisc does give you all that info, instantly.

CAN I THROW A TECHDISC INTO A NET OR A FIELD? -Yes, both are acceptable options. TechDisc captures enough data to generate your throw metrics as long as you’re at least 2 feet from a net. Throwing into a net gives you the added advantage of walking between 2 and 12 feet or so to pick up your disc and go again. If you throw into a field, the bluetooth info is saved in the device and transfers to your bluetooth device when it comes within 30’ range of the TechDisc again. But, you’ll have to run out there and pick it up in order to throw it again. We recommend throwing into a net, and provide a 12’x10' net for your practice rounds.

WHY RENT A TECHDISC INSTEAD OF BUYING MY OWN? You can totally buy your own, and I highly recommend you do. However, unlike most golf discs we use that cost between $10 and $30 or so, a TechDisc costs $300. 😳 Yeah, we know. That’s why we’re here.

SO, WHEN I RENT YOUR TECHDISC, HOW DO I KNOW HOW MY DISCS WOULD FLY? - TechDisc has free simulation software that shows you the flight of the disc being thrown, and it allows the flight numbers of the disc to be changed digitally to match whatever your favorite disc is. Imagine for instance, you throw this same one TechDisc 50 times, but we adjust the flight numbers every 10 throws to represent you throwing 5 of your own discs 10 times and see how they would fly with your throw metrics.
